Los sindicatos estadounidenses y el gobierno de Donald Trump: un análisis de las posiciones sobre la guerra comercial con China durante su primer mandato

Resumo
En un contexto geopolítico de crecientes tensiones entre Estados Unidos y China con el regreso al poder de Donald Trump, este trabajo se propone adentrarse en las posiciones de los sindicatos estadounidenses sobre la política de aumento de aranceles y la consecuente guerra comercial durante su primer gobierno. Se trabaja, a partir de eso, el vínculo entre los sindicatos y los partidos políticos demócrata y republicano, así como también sus acciones desplegadas ante el poder Ejecutivo y Legislativo. Se estructura el análisis en tres apartados. Primero, se presenta un sucinto análisis sobre la situación de los trabajadores estadounidenses a partir de la crisis de 2008 y el surgimiento de nuevas experiencias de lucha, especialmente analizamos la influencia e impacto del movimiento Occupy Wall Street. Luego, se analizan las posiciones de los sindicatos sobre la guerra comercial con China. distinguiendo específicamente la relación con Trump. Por último, se consigna un apartado específico a identificar los cambios que generó la pandemia del COVID’19 y la campaña electoral del 2020.
